Default Few more hundred miles to go! so long BREAK IN

sup people jus read my odometer at 960 miles. hehe i did an awfull lot of traveling in the weeks but im really not sure if im brekaing in my car right. oklemme list the BAD things ive done so far.

REVed over 4 about 3 times
quick starting my engine about twice
the first few days i got it (too use to my old car)
i shift at 3 rpm most of the time (on manumatic mode)
sometimes 3.5 rpm.
i try not to keep the RPM at 3 and 4 all the time but i cant help it at high speeds (80mph)

Is there anything else i should watch out for during break in period? any quick thoughts? thanks in advance
By the way i jus wanna add i love this G35 community. haha[/b]

+1 on this

I broke mine in about exactly as you have - few times over 4K though never over 5,500. Couple of quick starts, though never revving it up and dumping the clutch. I drove it a few times at 80-85MPH for a dozen or less miles, never had a problem. In fact I don't get a lot of symptoms others comment on, like the engine vibration feedback as the clutch grabs taking off and the like.

You will LOVE this thing once you can take it to the redline, after driving it like you have all this time, the first thing I noticed is what a BEAST she is over 5K RPM at wide open throttle. Starting at the peak torque 4600 right to redline is the most fun

i am not breaking in mine at all. I am enjoying it from day one as i have all my 25 previous cars. I have never had any problems because of it. Dont expect to start here. Plus, it is a 24 month lease...so gone after that and on to a new one

High speeds during breakin didn't hurt mine. First day I had it I put close to 250 miles @ 70-95mph on it driving home from the dealership.

the reason your car has 190 miles on it is because i beat the crap out of it along with about 15 other people....before you got it. The dealer is full of it.

That said...no big deal with the auto tranny...

You should break in your car hard, drive it like you want to drive it. I took it easy for the first 200 miles or so without going over 5K, just dont stay at constant RPM's like msb said. Its one of the most fun to drive cars out there.
