Well, I got this wax thing for Air planes from this car detailer for free and decided to wax my car. It looked good when I did it but today in the sun when I looked at my paint there were like streak marks on the car. I looks like swirls but when I looked close it wasn't really in the clear coat, it looks like streaks like when you clean glass. Grrrr, now I gotta re wax it and do it right. Anyone have experience with streaks with wax and any solutions?
I personally would not use something not made for my car ON my car. I know they use things like fine grain sandpaper to "clean" airplane windows, which basically makes scrathes too small to see, but takes a thin layer of glass off, since collision with bugs or hail at 600 + MPH can pit the glass. Use car stuff on your car, and airplane stuff on things that really take flight
Yup he said to just apply like wax. And NW it's not for the windows it was for the paint. He uses it to wax his client's car. When they did it the cars were sooo shiny. I saw a M5 there, a SC430, and a Honda Accord. I guess someone loves his accord. That place is supposed to be the top detailer in Birmingham AL and been in buisness for 20 years so I trust that guy's advice. I just think I didn't do it right oh well I'll just NXT it and hope it goes away. It really doesn't seem like it damaged the clear coat though.
I know it wasn't for windows bro, just saying that using that as an example, I am very wary of using things across platforms. Chances are if it was designed for planes, it's made for them. Most aircraft are aluminum finish, or paint over aluminum - not the same clearcloat cars get. It's airplane polish for a reason, just like I wouldn't use surfboard wax on my car
Huh hyung? What do you mean? The zaino? Well, I NXT my car last night and the streaks went away. Whew! I'm happy now but gosh darnit, there is alot of pollen around these parts and man my car has a yellow tint on it. Grrr and it's getting all in my interior. GAAA! I love this place.
zaino is good stuff. I used it for years until Tropi-car came along. Now its all I use on the car. Less steps, great shine, and great durability. Check other forums about the stuff and you'll hear much of the same results. I was so impressed with the product I decided to become a distributor. If your interested in trying some, let me know.

How frequently does everyone wax their cars? Polish? Is it possible to wash your car too often. I tend to find myself washing my car whenever it gets dirty (it rains a lot up here). Is that bad as long as I have a good coat of wax on there?

Every four weeks of hand washing in the summer...in the winter I use laser wash so it can happen anytime between 1-4 times a month which is too much but haven't seen any bad effects.
so the fact that I have washed my car three times in the last week and a half is bad? I just can't stand leaving all of that road dirt on it. How often is waxing it too much?
