Which remote starter should i get for xmas

alright guys, xmas is around the corner and my gf just asked if i would like a remote starter...how thoughtful of her right??

i've seen a few previous threads from BIZZ about the Viper 791XV or Compustar. if you have one of these or any other suggestions, can you please let me know what your thoughts are? also, can you guys let me know exaclty which parts i'll need. i'm only interested in a remote starter...

I ended up getting the Viper 791XV. I was able to incorporate the windows up\down w\o any additional modules. The range on the remote starter is incredible. I was able to start my car from at least if not more than a football field away with a clear path. Viper claims the range is up to a quarter mile but I’m not to sure about that...I also programed the rear defroster to activate once I use the remote starter. Over all, it's awesome!! let me know if you need more info.

btw- my car is a manual so needless to say I left it in first a few times after I got it installed. lol...generally the car would stall if you attempt to use the remote starter while it's in gear, but our car has some much torque, it actually kept rolling!!

none of the local shops would perform the install because it's a manual but luckily, i know a guy that does all my electronics work..
