04 G35x XM radio receiver location not in standard location??

I have a 04 G35x with the Bose stereo system. I just bought the XM receiver to install into it after reading the DIY Tech article. The problem is my car does not have the plugs in the same location. I found the amp is located in the trunk up next to the drivers side rear speaker enclosure. The amp also does not have any extra wires or plugs with in the 6inch of amp that I was able to find.

Where else could the satellite plug be located?

For some reason would the Bose system not be pre-wired for satellite?

The usual location is at the lower right of the back of the rear seat in the trunk.
