Default turn signal problem

it all started when my passenger rear turn signal light went out. When I went to replace the bulb the socket was all melted and charred. I bought a new socket and bulb and realized that the turn signal works when the lights are not on. When the lights are on just the passenger side rear tail light doesn't work. I don't know what to do and need help before I get a ticket.

you sound like you have a wiring issue. bring it to the dealer it should've been warrantied before you messed around with it. did you have a high power aftermarket bulb in there that caused it to melt?

that is defintely an internal wiring issue...something is not grounded right and is causing the wires to fry from the inside...take it to the dealer as soon as possible before it screws anything else up.
