Whenever I get gas I run it through the free car wash. I take it home, I spray Windex on whatever is glass. I basically take a paper towel and use water to clean up any spots and dry it. Is that fine?
what are your tips for speed bumps? i fear for my front lip. its bound to get scratched. my work site has these extremely large one that are made out of cement or brick or something. they're reddish in color. you know those ones?
I may stop at the "you hosem" car washes to blast the grime off, but I have never put mine through an automatic...mostly because I'm too cheap, but also I've heard many horror stories about damage and car wash claiming they're not responsible.
what about the touch-free car washes? they do a half decent job, then i use maguires quick detailer to get the water spots off...I do try to hand wash my car as often as i can but the touchfree car wash saves plenty of time. Nowhere near as clean as hand washing though.

Go over them as diagonally as possible. And SLOW. I have had many a lowered car in my time and that is the only way you will save the lip.
