Default badly chipped bumper how to bring back gloss?

hi, i have a badly chipped front bumper and the clear coat looks like its fading away it looks ugly it has no gloss, waxing dosen't help its still dull, I applied Mother's Back to Black trim care and it really does the job nice & glossy but the thing is it dosen't say you can use it on painted surfaces but it dosen't say not to use it on painted surfaces either, i've looked all over the net i can't find an answer, is there a specific product for bringing back gloss for painted surfaces, that have very little or no clearcoat left thanks

Once the clear coat is gone, it won't hold a shine. You need to get it repainted.

the whole car needs to be repainted there's scratches everywhere but i don't feel like it, what if i was gonna buy a can of clear coat and just clear coat the bumper would that give it a more glossy and a wet look?

uhhh... no that won't work. if the paint itself is damaged, clear coating it means you will then have shiny scratches and shiny chips. it would actually look worse.

oh well i'm happy with the trim gel, looks way better when i took the car out on a sunny day glossy & wet, i ordered chemical guys black forever trim & tire dressing, it says this one dries and is non sticky and won't attract dust, resists water and detergent, mothers back to black attract dust like hell and is sticky & will wash off
