Default My first black car....

Well freakin less than 2 hours after i got the car it rained on it! So living in the desert with slightly dusty winds, i have cheetah spots on the paint. Whats a good way to clean it by hand? I hear just washing it straight (without treatment) will do some kind of finish damage to the paint.

The PC term for a Black Car is "African American" Car. Get with the times man.

BTW, the Zaino products are AWESOME. Spend a day getting the old wax stripped off and at least 3 layers of their polish on there and you can just hose her off for a couple months and add layers after washing with their cleaner. You won't believe the results, esp on black... mirror like the more layers you go.

Yea, we just had a crazy monsoone-type storm over here today and my new car is dirty now =\. Not to mention i got rear ended too... i think god doesnt want me to own this car.

I see these water spots that dont look like water spots, i think the dealership had some kind of wax on the car cuz you cant even wipe these off and they look dug in.

Thats really bad, how can the water spots be so bad that they are stuck in the car...I mean tree sap I can see, which I f****n hate

Go with Zaino though, I will get a few pics up, I put two layers of Z-2 on my car and a layer of Z-6, car shines like a mofo. It is beautiful I must say.

It sounds like you have hard water etching. A 50/50 solution of vinegar and water may help, but you may require the services of a professional detailer.

Same thing happened to me though from my sister's sprinklers. Went out of town and she didn't bother moving it. I even left her my car cover. I should've just put it on myself. So, I ended up getting a pro to detail it after claybar and cleaner didn't get it all. Pro is one of my brother-in-laws so it didn't cost much (12-pack). Good luck though!

Florida water has a lot of minerals dissolved in it, as well as stuff like chlorine. When the water evaporates, the minerals are left behind.
