Default Some Questions...

Hey everyone,

I'm a new driver and am looking to get the G35 as my first car... Just thought I'd ask some question that I'm sure have been brought up before but may have new opinions on...

1) G35 or BMW 3 series? Look-wise I like the G35 better... but a BMW's a BMW, anyone know how the insurance compares?

2) Wait for the 2007 sedan? I'd be buying this in early June which is too early for the November-planned 2007 sedan. Any opinions on if its worth the wait/price increase?

Thanks!
Nick

Nick,
Depends on what you are looking for, what you want to spend, and how long you want to keep the car...........based on your answers you might not even want one of these two cars.

Now I'll take a shot at it and since you didn't list model, I'm going with the BMW 330 in the camparo.

Performance.......even (unless you are a professional driver)
Interior..............BMW
Price...................G35
Looks..................G35
Long term............G35 (dump the BMW way before it is out of warranty)

I'm sorry, but I do not know the insurance differential between the two cars. I'd go with the model of G35 before the major overhaul, you should be able to get a good deal with the upcoming restyling.

I know, the G35 is cheaper. The BMW uses more expensive parts and has a higher MSRP, thus, insurance is more expensive.

I would say wait for the 07 Sedan. You will be very happy
The M35 and M45, in its first year, ousted lexus and other models for reliability. That means a rather new design, and entirely new platform, performed better than other tried and tested platforms. Infiniti is using this new platform in the 07 G35. I would not doubt that the new G35 will be even more reliable (if thats possible) than the current one. Currently, we have had zero interior or mechanical issues with our M45. I have had a few interior issues with my 05 G35 (just rattles really) but no mechanical issues. And I believe that the 2007 G35 has a better looking interior than the BMW. Really, I never cared to much for interiors, but I am very attracted to the M series and new G35 interiors. (even tho I think the new G interior looks more like the redesigned FX interior than the new M interior)

Hey,

you should really consider both cars and they are very good. Personally nothing beat German engineering...the G is giving tooo may smaller problems here and there and it's not at tight as the 3 series...price wise the G is cheaper...if you would like to get either a G or BMW, let me know i can hook you up with the best deal that anyone can give you...flynlowporsche@yahoo.com

BMW does give you the german engineering that a lot of people always loved. the G's are a great handling and more power than a BMW with superb performance. every vehicle -- whether a BMW or an Infiniti does have it's small handful of issues -- like rattling and this and that but if it comes down to price the Infiniti has a lot of features that will be optional on the BMW's. I hope this helps your decision
