Default Navigation Update

I recently purchased an '07 G35S with the hard drive navigation.

The navigation is version 06-07. Do they have the 09-10 version out yet? If not, when will it be available.

As it apparently is 150 from Navteq and 88 - 165 dollars from the dealer to install, I'm hoping to get the most recent version if possible.

Also, is there a cheaper way to update?

You can buy the update discs directly from Navteq at NAVTEQ - Maps for your Navigation System and install the disc yourself. you don't need the dealer to install the update for you.

Considering it's a HD system, where do I put the disk?

Sorry, I read G35S as "sport" (as is a coupe) and not as "sedan" and I jumped the gun too quickly. I don't know how to load the update, but the service manual probably shows how to do that. Since there is a CD slot in the radio, I would think that would be the way to update the system.

+1 i think that's the way to update it cause you wouldn't really have another choice.
