noob Q about dual climate control

I have o6 6mt coupe and am looking to replace my stock bose head unit with an after market pioneer head unit. the pioneer is not a double din head unit. Will i be able to use my stock ac controller with the dual climate control and have it work properly? I read in some previous threads that the jdm unit does not support dual climate control. what do i need to install this unit in my 6mt and retain the dual climate control? thanks in advance guys.

i am not sure but i think you need to have the double din head unit to be able to use them with otu having a problem. but im not sure wait for more input.

You can install a single DIN unit with your DD trim piece, but you'll have to fill the gap somehow. Since you have the room for a DD HU, most people get a DD HU with navigation, etc.

You cannot use your AC controller under any circumstances when installing the DD kit. You have to get the JDM AC controller. If you want the dual climate zone to work, you have to desolder the mini button from your unit and solder it onto the JDM unit. There is a DIY on G35driver somewhere.

What doesn't work?

Make sure you plug the cabin temp sensor back into the banel under the steering wheel. there is a connector and a tube that need to be connected on the right side of that panel on the back.
