Default Abilities of the Infiniti Factory Sat Nav

I'm looking to buy an '05 G35 6MT sedan. After test driving the TL (I know I know) I was really impressed with the abilities of the TL's Sat Nav. Not only is it touch screen, but it has all those features (nearest gas stations, restaurants, phone hookup, etc). I'm wondering, what features does the Infiniti Sat Nav system have? Obviously you can map out an address and have it guide you there with directions. But does it have all those other things, like finding the nearest gas station/hospital/find phone number of restaurant on map & call it, etc etc... I'm just curious what the Infiniti Sat Nav can do, besides just giving you directions. Anything anyone can tell me would be very helpful. Thanks everyone!

Also---- I know Infiniti does not have any Bluetooth capabilities. But does the G35 have any kind of phone hookup at all? Anything where you can plug it into the car and have it work through the stereo or anything???

i love my G and i love my Navi... but it does not compare to the navi in the TL. the G will find closests rest. and gas stations - stuff like that. but it is missing other features - plus the quality is not the same - and no, no touch screen. even my 2002 maxima had touchscreen.

i would still go with the stock navi as it "fits" the car much better and contains fuel mileage and tripometer stuff. pick the right car - then get the navi if you want it.

I just love how it pops up rather than it just being stuck there like all acuras. Don't get me wrong, touch screen would really set it off for the navi on a G, but i guess the pop-up feature makes up for it (well for me) Like Msb3079 said, it contains fuel mileage and tripometer stuff (lol) If you're running outta gas it'll tell you how many miles you have until it leaves you ditched and all that neat stuff Also, how many miles until you have to change your oil and oil filter. Like I said, it's basically what Msb said, i guess i just got more into it ... g'luck & WELCOME

haha yep - love it when she beeps me - haha

but in all seriousness... i think the "beeping" is an option in the Nav menu - i'd turn that on unless it begins to annoy you.

oo and it tells you if the parking brake is still on.
(not that i've ever left it on) lalalala....

aww it's not a touch screen... i was gona order a G with nav but after I got the facts from you guys (heres your thanks) I'd prob get one without NAv but it would be nice for it to tell me when to change my oil and when Im about to run out of gas.

damp cloth or maybe even a bit of windex. b/c its not touchscreen - i wouldn't worry too much - its not sensitive - only a plastic type cover.
