In general, an MT adds to a more engaged feeling driving the car and it performs better on twisty hilly terrain, but in the city you have to rev it harder than an auto to keep up with traffic and with some models the MTs rev higher on the highway than the same car with a manual.
I have driven MTs all my life, but slowly I am getting to an auto for my next daily driver. The MTs are starting to feel crude compared to the autos.
Oh yea, and I am starting to hear a noisy bearing when I release the clutch pedal only after 20 K. I would not get the G in a manual again.
