I really can't say for sure what's available for the steering wheel control other than I remember seeing an interface somewhere, but I'm not sure what all you can do with it. well if you did go the carputer route there's ways to get somethong up and running cheap, I got a used screen from ebay and I just modded a small desktop for 12v. the bose speakers aren't bad some people will disagree. for as much as it would cost to significantly improve the sound, I'll keep the stock speakers for a while.
