I got $900 from someone who backed into my wife's car, didn't fix a damn thing.

You can pocket the money and drive off the lot on your rotors if you want, not that I'm recommending that!

Where are you located?
Exactly, the insurance cuts you the check. You don't have to go to the Infiniti dealership to replace the wheels. The insurance company is supposed to give you enough money to fairly replace the item. There is no way your wheels were worth that much money, absolutely no way. To give you an idea, I have Volk TE37's on my car, I paid $2,500 for a set and that includes tires. Volks!!!

The dealer reacting the way they did seriously makes me question their honesty........well maybe not the dealership, but definitely the guy you are dealing with.

So let's see here's how the scam works............parts guy is in kahoots with the insurance guy. The parts guy overstates the replacement cost. The insurance guy cuts the check, you turn that over to the parts guy. The parts guy puts in paperwork regarding the overpayment and credits cash. The parts guy and insurance guy split the return. Insurance company takes the hit for the overpayment.

Seriously, I really think this is a case of insurance fraud.
