in college, my buddy used to sell fake Louis V. bags and wallets. i knew they were fake, but he showed me all of the tell-tale signs of a fake such as no serial #, the fabric inside, and that the pattern should be symmetrical (no LV symbols cut off at the seams)... his were good fakes. in fact i met the sketchy importer that buys them from Tawain - he even held a lighter up to one to show me that it wasn't pleather.
anyhow so i bought one for my lady and didnt tell her it was fake... i remember someone who knows their shit called her out on it. how embarrassing for both of us. since then i have been anti-fake anything.
