^^^That's not the point. The point is that they abuse alcohol or other legal drugs. Drug test them all you want when hiring, prozac, riddilin (sp?), and other prescription drugs are all okay to be on unless other wise specified. Alcohol used to be so widely accepted as part of the construction industry amongst its iron workers and concrete masons. Now people try to regulate it more, but showing up hungover isn't largely a big deal.
Ever work in the finance industry? Shiiiet, you get young guys between 20 and 30 making hundreds of thousands of dollars. Guess what they do when they get their bonuses. Weed is not it. It's the ya-yo. Guys are doing lines in between meetings and phone calls and as long as their numbers are good, bosses will always look the other way.
So when marijuana, one of the tamest and most natural drugs ever grown is controlled, I scoff at all the hypocrisy.

It's actually a certifiable reason written by the California legislature for seekers to pursue mmj as an alternative medicine. Chronic pain, cancer patients and HIV+ are also listed. Chronic pain is the one that is so ambiguous that allows a lot of other people to get one as well.
