Here in Central Texas, we have so many of those large black grackles. They are in every tree around here. They are also territorial, I've personally been attacked when I was walking too close to a tree to my car in the parking lot one day, the wing of beak or claw clipped the back of my head. Crazy.
Anyway, they love to eat these black or purple berries, and when they shit on your car, you HAVE to get this stuff off immediately, or it etches your damn paint!
I've also witnessed the grackles sitting on the roof of a car and digging their beaks into the paint!
I hate those birds!
