dammit.. YES!!
it keeps the signal DIGITAL to the display... component is analog out of the source..... lots of loss... and more interference concerns.
as to the type of HDMI cables..... now i don't buy that....
good cables for an analog transfer.. yes... but for a digital transfer.. not as much.
