I do get your point though, but let's not be too quick to dismiss the opinions of professionals. In an age where so many people take to gospel of what they see on web site's and blog's you have to draw a line between a person who earns his/her living from what they do as a profession. Sure they don't know everything, but I'm sure they know more than most, when that's what they do everyday.

Like with medical opinions of great importance it is always good to seek a separate opinion. In the end you need to take that leap of faith based on the information all have given to you.
BTW yes those car mag guys do see and hear a lot more than us, but guys like Sam Mitani (R&T) are friggen nuts. When someone says the RX-8 is the best looking car to ever come out of Japan, you know some BS is up.
