well on the paint and interior choices, some of them cost a bit extra - as in $300.00 or so. not a huge deal. the trim is your choice, pick from the 4 at no charge for any. the wheels yah, and the aero kit. but as far as who buys it and pays the premium? lots of folks do. it's a luxury car, not a Hyundai Elantra. I am guessing BMW has had loads of success with the options, which is why they offer so many.
