Maybe the KKK did, maybe the KKK didn't. They hung black people, fire bombed churches, and dragged people behind their trucks until they died. So I wouldn't exactly exonerate them in this case. However, does the name Abner Louima ring a bell? In 1997, he was the guy that was sexually tortured by the NYPD. The shoved a plunger up his ass.

Yes we are and yes I am. I've never used the N word at someone, but I've thrown the word "beaner or wetback" out. I think I'm more misogynistic than racist when I drive though. Yes, I am imperfect.
