Just because he called them something doesn't mean he's a racist Hexx.
Again I feel he needs to be held accountable for what he said, but we have no idea what people said to get him that PO'd. His response was obviously a knee-jerk reaction to get the heckler as PO'd as possible. In this case he might have thought disparaging comments about the guy(s)' race would have done it.
He's been in show biz for quite some time. He's well over 50. He's been on the big stage since the early 90's and this is the first we've heard of him, so it could have been a once in a lifetime thing.
It's funny, but I don't recall this sort of uproar over Mel Gibson's comments this past year.
With Mel this wasn't his first incident over racial matters, why is Richards being held to a different standard?
