Like it says, I'm using more oil than before.
When she was new I used a quart at 2400mi. My previous old post on this condition, it was concluded not to worry cuz it's new and still kidda breaking in.
Well, now I've had to add 2 quarts before my second oil change, which is being done today.
One quart added at 2200mi. after first oil change and the second quart added after 1200mi. She's now at only 7700mi. total.
Asked dealer what up with this and they said Nissan finds 1 quart every 1000mi acceptable
and the service guy said it's due to the high engine vaccuum in these 298hp VQ's especially when you accelerate hard.
At least they noted this consumption on their computer (by my request) so it's documented.
Anyone else experiencing this kind of oil consumption?
I do play hard, but only rarely.
