But to add... we should have a better immigration system that allows a migrant farm worker the same benefit of the doubt as a SW Engineer from India gets. And while deportation is a valid option for any country, I don't think that families should be criminalized as felons. Save that honor for the coyotes who constantly run them across the border.
Loving Mexico... I just look forward to the day that our friend to the south can sustain a strong enough economy that natives WANT to stay there because of good opportunities in-country. That's a win for everyone. |
the engineer from india gets a pass 'cause he uses his brain to work. farm workers can be bred. in fact, generations back, they were. you can't breed engineers. this country needs brains especially since the public school system here sucks, kids are apathetic, and their parents are generally to wrapped up in trying to keep the lights on due to inflation of living expenses and a stagnation of their wages.
