They aren't mirrors, they're cameras. The side view images get displayed on a screen in the dash. This makes for less blind spot and less wind noise. |
Holy crap.. that's crazy. I don't know if I like that idea. People are going to be stealing those things left and right, because they probably will sell for like $1000 each. I also think that it might discourage some careless drivers from looking out their side window when doing a lane change and just relying completely on the camera.
Of course, this is just skepticism... but until any of us have tried it, we can't relly comment. My initial impression is to not like the idea though.
