the whole thing is bullshit.
i mean if you are obviously drunk then yes. but i'm talking about .08 here. that is nothing. i doubt a normal person can tell the difference between .07 to .10 and nothing out there can besides their shitty ass machines which has the final say.
i'm still convinced it's about money. yes, poeple have comkplained and something had to be done... but this is a huge financial oppotunity for the government and for attorneys (which funny enough work side by side)
A line has to be drawn somewhere as to what's legally drunk and what's not. The .08 number is what it is, and I'm sure the legal limit will continue to get lower and lower as time goes on.

The reason I said it's not 100% accurate is that you shouldn't rely on it's accuracy to .01 in order to save your ass from a DUI conviction. What we(my friends and I) usually do is blow into the thing a few times and kinda get a general idea what it's saying for a reading, then maybe round down by .02(just to be safe).

We've had a few times before where our designated driver had just a tiny bit too much to drink, and nobody else in our car was OK to drive... so we just chilled for an hour or so and went to get some food off of street vendors and late-night cafe's, then came back and checked the tester to see how we were.. and it said the driver was well below the limit at that point... so we drove home.

I'm telling you man... definitely get one of these testers, it might really open your eyes and it can't hurt unless you put too much faith in its accuracy or completely fail to use common sense. 20 Bucks is a worthwhile investment to buy one of these things for anyone who might be in a situation involving drinking and driving.
