I had the same problem with mine after my leasing company shipped my G35 to me and I picked it up late in the evening (which is a big "no-no" to take possession of a new car at night.) Evidentally, the dealership that my leasing company got my car from had done a slop job in prepping the vehicle (even after I explicitly explained that I did not want the dealer prepping my car prior to ownership...) Then they tried to cover over the scratches and damage with a shit load of armorall. I noticed that all of the numbers towards the bottom of the display were "fuzzy" and after the armorall started to wear off a couple months later, that's when I noticed that it looked like someone had taken an extremely abrasive cloth and dragged along the entire lower edge of the display cluster. I'm still pissed about it. The local dealer won't touch it, so I'd have to pay out of my own pocket. The auto-detailer I use here stated that even if the dealer fixes it, they may make it worse and create new rattles/vibrations when they break that initial "factory seal."
