Grey Rooster doing 40-50-ish in a Chevy Beauville Van. Was a "cloud o' feathers" in the rearview.
Pidgeon/Dove doing 60-ish on S. Claiborne Ave at Erato in my Accord. (Dat's in New Orleans, next to the "Thou Shalt Not Kill" Billboard. If irony was steak I would have eaten well that day.)
Wing broke off and lodged in the wipers -- rest of it went off to the curb.
Stupid pidgeon, was too fat to take off before I nailed it. Got it on the rise.
Almost nailed a squirrel here in San Antonio with my G...but was on Contour Drive...and was doing about 20 (you almost have to, the name speaks for itself) so easily avoided it. It seemed dullwitted, and would have gotten it had I been going faster. I wont stop for small animals and risk a wreck or losing control. Deer are another matter, luckily encounter very few of those. Never saw one until I moved to Texas, they are like rats here, even in the burbs.
