I too am not married, no kids, no debt outside my mortgage. Some where OK with the 03 G 6MT sedan 2 years ago. The 04 Boxster really pushed them over the edge. Now that I have the 04 G 6MT coupe they don't know what to think.
What's even better, I can show up to work with 1 of 3 other new vehicles I own: a new 03 Honda Gold Wing, 04 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon or the SO's 04 Santa Fe.
Some you guys are 10-15 years my junior and have new G's. You only live once, enjoy it while you can. Just let the bitter, complacent, negative, 10 times divorced with 10+ kids, buried in debt bitches look down the end of their noses at you. All of that negativity and lack of self motivation is probably why they are driving a beat up used Kia or some domestic relic from the early 80's. They burn up more energy fussing about you and starting stuff in the office over doing what it takes to get to the next level.
I just love to see how long it takes for the new of my latest puchase to circulate through the office. It usually takes about 30 minutes to get across the county and back.
If you're at a place in life where you can have a G and not break the bank, more power to ya. and ditto on Dizz's comment.

I can relate. At 22 I owned an 02' BMW 330ci, at 23 I owned an 03' BMW M3, and now at 25, I own an 04' G35 coupe. Co-workers always give that wide-eyed look with the, "where does he find the cash to get those cars" look on their face. I love it.
