They won't allow you to start your car. You must get a key that the computer(ECU) is programed to recognize or the ECU will shut down your car. It then will have to be taken to the dealer and reset.

I think the keys also have a chip too, so a Walmart cut key will probably only be a valet type key.

Not a valet, but a door key. If you want a key to start your engine, it has to come from Infiniti. |
