Maybe you knew this and had already ruled it out. But my guess is it's time to replace you brake pads. It's still a "normal" squeal because it's designed this way. There is a metal piece on the side of the brake pads by design. When the brake pads wear down below spec, this piece sticks out and rubs the metal brake disk -- metal on metal. This way you won't like it and will take it to the dealer. It would constantly rub the disk and make noise. But when you brake, it gets pushed harder against the disk and the noise gets louder.

Hope that's it. If so, you might qualify for a free set of brakes if your car is still under the initial warrantee. You can search for that info in the forums here.
