BMW is getting very close with their SMG technology but it's still not as quick as a *true* manual. Ferrari has it figured out but I hear the shifts are rather jerky. Plus the price of admission is a little more than I think we are all currently used to..

One thing I think is beyond cool is a lot of these cars have a button for sport mode that changes a bunch of things (air, fuel, timing, etc.) that will up your horsepower.
The M5 cruises at 400 hp but with the sport mode engaged you can tap into the full 500 hp.
