Brembo Brake
Pad Life
The pads are soft, and thus don't expect a ton of mileage. Most users
are reporting pad life of around 20,000. Expect less if you are a city
driver. Long-distance drivers can see up to 40,000 miles out of the
pads. Also, the rotor specs are very low tolerence. The front rotors
can only be resuraced 8mm and the rears 6mm. This means that after your
first or second brake job, you'll need new rotors.

Brembo Brake
Dust, Is It Normal?
YES! You will need to wash your wheels almost every other day with normal
driving. The performance pads on both the Brembo 6MT's and standard
calipers both put out a lot of dust. Some people have reported good
results using a product called, "RejeX".
This product puts a non-stick layer on your rims and makes cleaning
a snap!

My Brembo
Brakes Are Squealing
Some people, including myself, have had issues with their Brembo's squealing
with low mileage. In my case, it seemed to happen at very low speeds
with light brake pressure. Most often, this is when slowing to a stop.
There was talk of a TSB out for this, and your dealer may have the most
up to date information. In most cases, the squealing will taper off
around 3,000 miles or so.

What
are the Specs for the G35?
Complete specs for the G35 Coupe and Sedan can be found here.

How
is the G35 in the Snow?
The G35 preforms just about as well as any rear wheel drive sports car
in the snow! That said, if you live in a climate where you receive any
snow, it is recommended that you purchase snow tires or a set of winter
wheels/tires. You
can research currect products and prices from Tire Rack here.

My
G35 is Getting Bad Gas Mileage
Your gas mileage will improve slightly as the car breaks in. After break
in, MPG can vary widely based on driving habits. Expect to see your
MPG's range from 16 to 24 MPG.

The
Gear Shift Vibrates
This is completely normal.

Why
Does the SLIP Light Come on?
The SLIP light represents the vehicle's traction control program. When
illumiated it takes over control of throttle and braking based on input
from a myriad of sensors. The VDC (traction control) is initiated by
wheel slip, yaw and any other factors that make the computer think you're
on the verge of loosing control of the vehicle. There have been a lot
of complaints about the G35's VDC being too interferring and actually
causing harder driving conditions. The VDC can be turned off via a switch
to the lower left of the steering wheel (useful if trying to pull out
of a snowy spot when wheel spin is necessary, or "spirited"
accelerating). Even with the VDC turned off, however, it will still
kick in if it detects substantial loss of control. NOTE: if you plan
on racing, turn the VDC off. Otherwise it will retard the throttle when
you chirp the wheels from 1st to 2nd gear.

How
do I Rotate the Tires on the G35?
You cannot easily! The only way to rotate the tires are the dismount
the tires from the wheels and swap sides. This is due to the fact that
the front and rear wheels are different sizes and all 4 tires are directional.

How
long is the Break-In Period?
You'll want to take it easy on your G35 for the first 1,000 miles. This
will ensure that all parts are smoothed out and ready for spirited driving.
Try your hardest to keep the RPM's under 4,000 for the first 1,000 miles.
After that, slowly increase your power and by 1,500 mile you should
be clear to red line it!

Is
My G Sat Ready?
Tough question... MAYBE! First of all, early 2003 Sedans that do not
have the "SAT" button are not capable at all of wiring an
OEM Infiniti satellite receiver in. If you have a sedan or coupe with
the last 6-digits of your VIN LOWER then the below numbers, then your
car did not come pre-wired for Satellite, but it is still an option.
Cars with VIN's higher then below, are pre-wired and you'll find a small
white connector under your trunk liner to the left of your spare tire.
Sedan: 321894 and higher
Coupe: 210827 and higher
If you do not have the pre-wire, you can purchase
it here. If you do have the pre-wire, all you'll need is the receiver
which can be purchased
here.

Where
is the Bose Amp Located?
The Bose amp is located on the left hand side of the trunk. If you pull
out the trunk mat and floor you will see the spare and a black plastic
cover to the left. Pull the spare out for more work space. Use a metric
socket wrench (10mm or 11mm) to remove the nut holding down the black
plastic cover. Remove the cover and you will see the Bose amp below.

Where
Can I Mount the Satellite Radio Antenna?
The antenna can be mounted in several different locations. The roof,
the trunk or my personal favorite, inside on the rear parcel shelf.
Mounting the antenna inside will cut down on your reception, but until
smaller antennas come out, this is a good alternative. See the link
below for pictures and instructions on running the antenna internally.

Can
I Bypass the Navigation Startup Screen?
No! Unless you are an electical engineer with major skills. And if you
are and you suceed at this, please let
us know!

Can
the Navigation System Play DVD's?
Not stock. You cannot insert a DVD movie into your Navigation system's
DVD player. However, there are options if you are willing to modify
your Navigation system. See the below link for one such alternative.
